Link Building Specialist 

About the Role

 

Martal Group is a B2B sales and lead-generation agency serving 50+ verticals worldwide. We’re looking for a Link Building Specialist to build a consistent pipeline of high-quality backlinks to our core service, country, industry, and platform pages through three channels: warm partnership outreach, cold outreach (guest posts), and ABC link exchange coordination.

This role replaces an outsourced SEO agency and reports directly to our Marketing Manager.


 

Core Responsibilities

Warm partnership outreach

  • Re-engage Martal’s existing partner network and maintain relationships through structured follow-up
  • Coordinate link placements aligned with Martal’s target page priorities
  • Source new warm partners through industry connections and inbound interest

Cold outreach

  • Identify and qualify cold outreach prospects in relevant B2B industries
  • Draft and send personalized outreach emails via automation tool
  • Pitch and secure guest post opportunities on relevant B2B publications
  • Draft guest post content using AI-assisted workflows with hands-on editorial rewriting

ABC link exchange coordination

  • Source and coordinate three-way link exchanges (Site A → B → C → A)
  • Match exchange partners based on topical relevance, domain authority, and anchor flexibility
  • Evaluate every opportunity against Martal’s defined quality criteria

Quality control & reporting

  • Apply qualification framework to every link opportunity (DR, topical relevance, spam signals, indexation status)
  • Verify placed links are indexed by Google at 30 and 60-day intervals
  • Maintain centralized tracking log (source URL, target URL, anchor text, partner type, indexation status)
  • Submit weekly progress reports and monthly executive summaries

 

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of dedicated B2B link-building experience (agency or in-house)
  • Proven track record of placements on target sites
  • Experience with ABC link exchange mechanics
  • Working knowledge of Ahrefs or Semrush
  • Experience with outreach automation tools and CRM-based partner tracking
  • Familiarity with Google Search Console
  • Understanding of Google webmaster guidelines and core update impact on link profiles

 

Required Skills

  • Native or near-native English written communication, including professional outreach copywriting
  • Strong organizational skills — ability to manage 20+ simultaneous opportunities without dropping follow-ups
  • Self-directed work style with minimal supervision after onboarding
  • Comfort with AI-assisted workflows (Claude or similar tools)
  • Critical thinking to identify and walk away from low-quality opportunities
  • Reporting and data hygiene discipline

Candidates should arrive with working proficiency in at least 3 of the above.


 

Working Hours & Structure

  • Eastern Time overlap: minimum 4 hours/day required for partner outreach and internal coordination
  • Reports to: Marketing Manager
  • Check-ins: weekly + structured monthly performance review
  • Engagement: Full-time
